The type of work you get from their quarter is usually in the form of writing reports on properties, preparation of measurement drawings, certifying carpet or built up areas and valuation of a property. Financial Institutions like banks maintain a list of approved architects. The case is referred to the architect from the panel.

These matters are some times referred to the court of law, Govt. Departments etc. Therefore, it needs careful handling. Often banks or financial institutions require a valuation report from an architect on a property, which is to be mortgaged. For this type of work an architect has to be a registered valuer with the department of direct taxes of the central government.

The biggest complement to you, according to me, is return of the client for whom you have worked before!
